Keyso and Blanchard Top Boat on Okeechobee

Temperatures were falling, but the fishing was heating up all day long.  Mike Keyso and Dan Blanchard topped 110 boats in the Gambler Lures No Entry Fee Tournament on Lake Okeechobee.  Mike and Dan brought in the heaviest of three 25 lb bags.  Their 25.94 took home top honors.  Mike and Dan flipped Ugly Otters and Crawdads to land their catch.  Dell Hatfield and Doug Nairn came in with 25.73 to take second place.  They reported great fishing on Flapp'n Shads and Big EZ's.  Brent Propst and Kenny McArthur weighed in the third 25 lb bag with 25.04, good enough for third place.  Brent and Kenny reported most of their success on Big EZ's.  Rounding out the top 5 teams were Raymond Guerra and Jesus "Chunky" Villegas with 24.86 and Dick Meyer and Brock Stranaland with 24.66.  Big Fish for the tournament went to Raymond Guerra and Jesus Villegas with a 9.18 caught on the Gambler Ace.

Overall an exciting weigh in with 15 bags over 20 pounds and 25 fish over 6 lbs weighed in.  Overall it seemed the fish were biting everywhere anglers went.  Top producing lures were, Otters, Flapp'n Shads, Big EZs, and Aces.
